Dear Parents,

 

Wow, what a super turnout to our 2004-05 back-to- School Night.  It was great to see the support that Chipman students enjoy from their parents.  We are fortunate to have the backing of our community.  Thank you again for demonstrating your cooperation by coming.  Also, thanks to all who helped make it a great night.

 

Speaking of our great school…I’d like to take just a moment to point out a recent observation that I made concerning this fantastic school.  Did you know that 900 students now call Chipman “their” school? Did you know that on a daily basis over 50 employees call Chipman “their” school?  (Here is the juicy part…) Did you know that the 33 teachers that work here volunteer for over 60 (and counting) extra-duty assignments and activities?  (These activities include such things as: coaching after-school sports, ITSA tutoring, migrant tutoring, homework club, club advisors, extra yard duty, committee chairs and members, etc.)  Our teachers are the backbone of the extra offerings that benefit students.  Parents, if you get a chance, please join me in thanking our teachers and tell them you appreciate their extra efforts.   Chipman would be most ordinary without them.
