and a true partnership
between home and school.

PTA is the largest volunteer organization working exclusively to improve the education, health, safety, and well being of all children and youth.  Downtown School PTA, parents, teachers, administrators and others work for quality education and a true partnership between home and school.

Your involvement in education increases your children’s chances for success in school.  Studies show that children whose parents are involved in education are more motivated in school.  Motivated students are more likely to participate in class, more likely to complete homework, and more likely to achieve academically.  In short, motivated children become students with good chances for a bright future.

Downtown School PTA consists of an organization of enthusiastic parents dedicated to helping promote the welfare of our children along with staff and faculty.  PTA is responsible for various fundraisers during the year to benefit the children and families at our school.  Because of the fun events such as our Hawaiian themed Carnival, Earth Day Dinner and Silent Auction, and Cookie Dough fundraiser, PTA was able to have our new playground equipment installed.  PTA also sponsors the high intensity school skating parties and our much-anticipated Spring Performance.

We invite all parents, grandparents, and members of the community to join our membership.  Thanks for your support!

It is my goal to provide all with the latest information on the goals of the district.
