We believe the that all students should participate in an academically-focused curriculum which is challenging and enables all students to achieve to their fullest potential. We believe that education is a combined effort and staff, parents, and students must work together through communication and understanding of our responsibilities.
The Staff Will:
Provide a safe atmosphere conducive to learning. |
Work cooperatively with parents, support personnel, and students to ensure proper discipline. |
Recognize the individual needs of each student and provide work at the appropriate rate of difficulty. |
Create an environment in which success is demanded and accountability is maintained. |
Communicate with parents regarding child's progress. |
Provide opportunities for students to experience success through varied activities. |
We Expect Students To:
Work to their fullest potential. |
Show respect for people and school property. |
Use "non-abusive" language. |
Be responsible for class work and for completing and returning homework. |
Be responsible for their behavior and make quality choices. |
We Expect Parents To:
Send students to school every day and on time. |
Supervise the process and return of homework. |
Accept the responsibility of replacing school books and equipment lost or damaged by their child. |
Make sure their child is well-rested. |
Make every effort to attend Back to School Night, Parent Conferences, and other school functions. |
Communicate with teachers regarding their child's educational need. |
Extended Day Magnet Program

Students from kindergarten - sixth grade attend classes from 2:00 until 5:00. We have a variety of fun, exciting classes and activities to choose from. Our extended day magnet program includes credentialed science, art and computer teachers as well as activity leaders that teach dance, singing, gymnastics, arts & crafts, organized sports, and homework help.
If you would like your child to attend Fremont and participate in our great magnet program call the Bakersfield City School District at (661) 631-4600. You can e-mail questions to Mrs. Sanchez, the Fremont Magnet Coordinator.
