- Kids Web - Digital Library
- One of the very best Web entry points for schools. An attractive,
well-organized, and useful page of links to valuable Internet resources,
gathered especially for their value to K-12 schools.
- The Web by Dewey
Decimal Classification System
- The resources of the Internet organized according to the Dewey
Decimal Classification. This is an easy to use system, the same that is
used to organize the books and other materials in the C.H.S. Library.
- Berkeley Digital Library
SunSITE
- The U.C. Berkeley Library has begun organizing links to
some of the most useful digital libraries and collections of information
on the World Wide Web. Worth spending some time here. Although it is just
beginning, the resources are quite extensive. Tip: Check their
"Collections" section!
- Internet Public Library
- From the University of Michigan, the first virtual library on the
Web. Very well-organized graphical interface makes this an enjoyable site
to link into.
- Berkeley
Public Index to the Internet
- From Berkeley Public Library, an excellent organization of links
to Internet resources.
- U.C. Hot Pages
- From here you can connect with the "Hot Pages" (interesting,
well-designed, and informative) of the many campuses of the University of
California. A new link is added each week. Be sure to visit some of the
interesting past Hot Pages!
- Cool School
Tools
- This subject index to Internet and World Wide Web resources is based
loosely on the Dewey Decimal Classification. Some resources may be listed
in more than one category.
- Internet
Services List, by Scott Yanoff
- One of the first and best listings of Internet and World Wide Web
resources. These connections are arranged according to their subject.
Just click on a subject, and a list of links to their Web Pages will be
revealed!
- W3:
Geographic Access to World Wide Web Servers
- This is the summary of a list of registered WWW servers alphabetically by
continent country and state.
- City.Net Country List
- An interface to City.Net, the Web's very extensive library
of country and city information so you are able to "Virtually Tour" the
world. You can find general information, tourist guides, and pictures
for thousands of places here.
- Federal
Web Locator
- The most comprehensive guide to federal or government information.
- Library of Congress Web
- The
entry point to the Library of Congress, our nation's leading library. Lots
of full-text and graphical resources, exhibits, and of course, databases.
- BUBL by
Subject
- Internet resources according to their subject
classification, from our BUBL friends in England, with a distinctively
"European" feel to it (of course!) A great jumping off place not only for
Europe, but for the Internet's resources, due to a very friendly layout of
its resource links.
