The Sierra Middle School program is comprised of several performing groups. The Spartan band performs for parades and civic functions, as well as indoor concerts. The Spartan band also participates in several rating festivals and has participated at Magic Mountain. The Spartan orchestra serves all the string playing students at Sierra. This group also particiaptes in festivals and concerts.
Sierra also has two beginning instrument groups. The beginning band for wind and percussion players and beginning orchestra for string players. These groups also perform at concerts when ready.
In addition, the Sierra program has a jazz band and mariachi groups. Currently, a steel drum group is in the planning stages. It is the hope that all Sierra students can avail themselves to a musical experience.
