Welcome to Sierra Middle School!
Sierra Middle School School serves 870 sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade super students. We are located in the Hillcrest area of east Bakersfield. Presently we are implementing the Middle School philosophy, which consist of an advisory period, back-to-back block scheduling for all periods, teams for core and exploratory subjects, team leaders, planning time for teams, team-wide student recoginition assemblies, team play day, team parent meetings, and a team effort for the success of all students.

Our mission is to provide a positive and effective integrated environment. This will give students successful experiences that promote high achievement and will create respect and appreciation for self and others.
