About Ms. Terry 

Ms. Susie Terry has been a Math teacher at Stiern Middle School for 12 years now and is currently teaching 7th grade Benchmark Mathematics.  Ms. Terry comes from a family of Math teachers.  Her Dad taught Math at Van Nuys Junior High in the Los Angeles area.  Her brother Glenn teaches Geometry and Pre-Calculus at Pleasant Grove High School in Utah and wrote his own textbook.  Her sister Julie teaches Algebra and Geometry at Winslow High School in Arizona.  Her brother Mark is an actuary and occasionally teaches University Mathematics courses.  Ms. Terry has also taught Kindergarten and 5th grade.  She has also worked as a medical transcriber, lifeguard, library clerk and playground director.

Ms. Terry graduated from John H. Francis Polytechnic High School in Sun Valley, California in 1973 and attended her 35-year reunion there last year.  She graduated from BYU in Provo, Utah in 1987.  She received her teaching credential from Chapman University.   Ms. Terry has three children; twin daughters age 29 and a son age 27.  Lydia is a real estate appraiser.  Lisa is a Pre-School teacher.  John is a defense attorney.  Ms. Terry has one granddaughter age 3, and three grandsons, age 2 ½, 2, and 2 months.
