SECTION VII – FINANCIAL & RESOURCE SUPPORT

 

The Specially Funded Budget is the responsibility of the School Site Council (SSC).  All purchases of $500 or more must go to the SSC for a reading, discussion and vote.  The Site Technology Coordinator, Classified Site Network Support Technician, and the Technology Committee coordinate all purchases of equipment and media based on recommendations from staff members in compliance with the school technology plan and the districts purchasing policies.  The request for all purchases of equipment and media is presented to the SSC, at their regular meeting, by the Classified Site Network Support Technician, or the Site Technology Coordinator or a designated representative of the Site Technology Committee.  When approved by the School Site Council for purchase, the orders are then given to the site Instructional Materials Center to be ordered out of the correct budget category.

 

Staff development is paid from the specially funded budget as is the cost of any in-services for parents and members of the community.  Though the site Technology Coordinator teaches full time, any time above and beyond those hours spent working on technology is paid from the specially funded budget.  Also paid from the specially funded budget are the salaries of the Classified Site Network Support Technician, the Math Lab clerk.

 

The District purchasing department assists the schools with low cost buy programs for hardware and software.  All purchases are made through the district purchasing department.
