Pants, walking shorts, skorts, or shirts must be solid color: Navy blue, Khaki tan, or Black

Shirt or blouse must have a collar & sleeves covering the shoulder:  Polo shirt, Oxford, or turtleneck OK.  No T-shirts.

Shirt or blouse must be solid color:  White, navy, or red

Belts must be worn through belt loops.  Buckles may have no logos or initials

 

 

Pants hemmed... no bunched cuffs

 

 

Pants should fit well around the waist.  Clothing must not be more than one size too large or one size to small. No sagging

 

No denim jeans, sweat pants or leggings.

No logos or labels allowed (except approved Stiern School Logos)

 

Shirts & blouses must be tucked in at all times

 
For colder weather; sweaters or sweatshirts may be worn.  These will be defined as “outerwear” and must be worn on the outside of clothing, not underneath regular uniform shirts.  See Coats & Jackets.

Coats & jackets have no specific restrictions, but must compliment the uniform.

Shoes must have a heel strap with heels no higher than 1 inch.  Must be closed toe and appropriate for PE activities.

Uniform Policy Violations

  1. Inappropriate dressed student will be loaned a school uniform and parents will be notified.
  2. Repeated violations will be subject to Administrative Disciplinary actions.
  3. Questions will be reviewed by the Uniform School Review committee comprised of Staff, Parents, and Students.

 

 

 

    

 

Walter Stiern Middle School Mandatory Uniform Requirements

Tops

Shirts, blouses, or turtlenecks.  Must be solid color and have collars.  They must cover the shoulders. For security reasons, all students’ shirts must be tucked in at the waist, at all times!

Colors:  Red, White, Navy Blue

Bottoms

Shorts, pants, skorts, skirts, jumper, and Capri pants.  All pants must fit at the waist.  Students may be asked to use a belt, a cord, or plastic ties to secure the pants at the waistline.

Colors:  Navy Blue, Tan, Black

Sweaters, Sweatshirts

These will be defined as “outerwear” and must be worn on the outside of clothing, not underneath regular uniform shirts.  See Jackets.

Jackets & Coats

May be any color and contain designs, insignia or graphics consistent with the BCSD Dress & Grooming Guidelines.

Shoes

Must be closed toe and appropriate for PE activities

Socks

Colors:  Navy Blue, Tan, White, or Black.

Accessories

Bracelets, necklaces, earrings, etc. must not contain spikes or sharp points which may cause injury to another.  Large hoop earrings must not be larger than the diameter of a US Quarter.

Hats:    Not permitted

DARE shirts are permitted during this instructional season. 

AVID shirts are allowed on Fridays, only (as per advisor).

Stiern team sports uniforms and Drill team/flag team uniforms are permitted on game days only.
